: I find Sirlion tip makes the best pot roast, try adding a package of onion soup mix to your roast and water, or my favorite, 3 tbsp. wine- clove of garlic, onion and the rest of your ingredients.

Thanks Linda! Sirloin tip made a *great* roast. I put together my own recipe based on various recipes I've found online and my grandmother's. It turned out near-perfect...I may post the recipe here soon.
