Some time ago, I read an article about 'elf'ing your friends/neighbors during the Holidays. It was something to the effect of leaving some treats (baked goods, decorations, etc) at the receiver's doorstep (or doign some outdoor decorating) and leaving a note with a little picture of an elf. The note said something about being 'elfed' and to spread the holiday spirit by 'elf'ing somebody else. Once a person has been 'elfed,' they are suppose to put a little elf in their window (near the door) so that they won't be elfed again.
Anyway, as you can see, I can't remember the specifics of this idea. Can anybody help me? I'd like to get an 'elf'ing chain started in our neighborhood!
