My Family's Wonderful Thanksgiving - by Wendy(Jolly)
My family usually get together for all the holidays and when we sit around the table, we ask blessing-Now I think Thanksgiving blessing should be special-We have soooooo much to be thankful for! So every year I ask that everyone would say one thing that they are thankful for (My family does not pray) Every year they have pooh-poohed that idea and they do the usual blessing-"Lord for this bounty we are truly thankful....." Until this year......
I was blessed this year in that my dh became a Christian (through the Alpha Program) and I had asked if he would mind saying grace and he said he would! It was an awesome prayer coming from my wonderful husband and then my sister-in-law asked that we go around the table and each say something we are thankful for!!!!!! Praise God! It was a wonderful holiday! (I live in Canada and we already had Thanksgiving)
