There was less than 1 month left till Christmas, and Lisa still had not found that perfect gift for her mother...

This part added by: Amanda
She had searched and searched untill she had almost given up. Her father, aunt, and uncle had taken her shopping countless times and her family said that they wouldn't take her anymore. She begged and begged untill her father said once more and if you don't find anything i'm not taking you anymore no matter how hard you begg and plead with me. Once again she couldn't find anything. She and her were walking home when something caught her eye in a little pawn shop. It was a beautiful ring and she knew her mother would adore it. She purchased the ring with just enough money. When her mother opened it Christmas morning she realized that it was her mothers engagement ring her father had lost in World War I

"aahh, sweetie this brings back many memories." She said to Lisa. "My parents were so in love. You see, your grandfather and grandmother were grammer school sweet-hearts. When your grandfather, Ted got called off to fight in the war Betty thought she'd never see him again. Oh the horrors he had to go through to get her this ring...only to lose it."

Once the people were about to eat the food, the mother went to make a turkey and the ring fell down the drain!!

All she could do was cry and when the rest of the family heard her they ran in the kitchen and asked her why she was crying, When they found out they rang a plumber straight away to see if the ring had gone all they way down the drain or way sitting in the piping. The plumber was there within 10 mins and he quickly pulled the drainpipes apart and found the ring and also a gold coloured pendant type thing, he had never saw anything like it before nad neither had the family, the pendant look very expensive and antique so the father took it to an antique store. When the antique dealer saw it he nearly fainted, this pendant was from when the egyptians built the pyramids. The only time the man saw one like this was in a book about the belongings of Cleopatra.

I'm so thrilled that my mother and father were happy about this gift. You never know what you will find or what comes back to you in time.

Some things are so precious that you hate to lose them. And it makes you more depressed to ahve to tell the one who had given to you that you lost it and it is nowhere to be found.

While the father stood at the counter talking to the antique dealer, the mother pulled her daughter aside and request of her that she close her eyes and stick her hand out, the little girl did as her mother asked and her mother placed the ring on the girl's finger, and in amazment and tearful joy she said mother I could never accept this ring because of the value it holds it was from your father to you and I know how much it means to you, I just could'nt and the mother said you have spoken correctly but have failed to realize this ring is a symbol of my love and devotion to you and someday when the time is right in the most intimate moment between you and your daughter you will pass this ring on to her and the history and through this ring the women in this family will be connected forever.
