This is an easy recipe for an overnight egg casserole with sausage and cheese. Delicious!
Grease 9 x 13 pan;
Add 8 slices bread, cubed
Layer: 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated; layer 1 lb. cooked sausage, crumbled.
Mix and pour over: 5 beaten eggs, 2-/2 c. milk, 1 t. dry mustard.
Cover, refrigerate overnight. Mix: 1 can cream of mushroom soup or cream of asparagus soup and 1/2 c. milk. Mix and pour over casserole.
Bake 300 for 1 hours 15 minutes, covered. Be aware that this does tend to overflow so keep a cookie sheet on the shelf below, lined with foil for easier clean-up. This is delicious. The whole family loves it!
