Cookie Bouquet

SHAPE cookie dough into eight 2-inch balls. Place four balls at a time onto ungreased baking sheet. Insert wooden sticks into each ball to resemble a lollipop; flatten dough slightly.

BAKE in preheated 375 degree F. oven for 13 to 15 minutes or until edges are crisp. Cool on baking sheet for 1 minute; remove to wire rack to cool completely.

(Makes 8 cookies)

DECORATE as desired. Tie ribbons around sticks and give as a cookie bouquet.

There are many ways to decorate cookie pops or other holiday treats. To drizzle designs on the cookies, place about 1/2 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels in a heavy-duty plastic bag. Microwave on HIGH (100%) power for about 30 seconds. Microwave for additional 10 to 20 seconds, kneading until smooth. Cut a tiny corner from the bag; squeeze onto the cookies. For an unusual garnish, squeeze melted chocolate in designs onto waxed or parchment paper. Chill until firm. Place on your favorite holiday treat.

To dip cookies in melted chocolate, melt 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels in an uncovered microwave-safe bowl on HIGH (100%) power for 1 minute, stir. Microwave for additional 10 to 20 seconds, stirring until smooth. Dip cookies into melted chocolate. For a quick dip for fruit, add 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening to the morsels before microwaving.
