Savory Sausage Balls (Pampered Chef)
Mix egg, sausage, stuffing mix and sage, thoroughly.
- 1 egg,slightly beaten
- 1 lb. hot or mild bulk pork sausage
- 1/2 cup herb stuffing mix
- 1/4 tsp. rubbed sage
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup chili sauce
- 2 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
Shape into one inch balls, add to large skillet cook over med. heat, turning occasionally.
Remove from skillet and drain on paper towel.
Drain fat from skillet, discard.
Combine water, ketchup, chili sauce, br. sugar, soy sauce and vinegar, stir well, return meatballs to skillet, stir to coat.
Bring to boil, cover and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Transfer to chafing dish if desired, serve with toothpicks.
