Grilled Ham and Cheese Sandwiches
- 8 slices pumpernickel bread
- 2 Tbs. plus 2 tsp. Dijon mustard
- 1/4 lb. sliced Swiss cheese
- 1 lb. slices cooked ham
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
Spread one side of each piece of bread with mustard.
Divide ham and cheese between half the bread slices and
enclose to form a sandwich.
Heat a heavy nonstick skillet over medium high heat.
Spread butter over top half of sandwiches and place in skillet, buttered side down.
Spread remaining butter over top of sandwich while cooking.
Cook 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden.
