Banana Bread

1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup mashed ripe bananas
1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs and beat well.
Mix dry ingredients together and alternate with mashed bananas.
Pour into bread pan (greased) and bake at 350 degrees for about 50 min. or until toothpick comes out clean and dry.

Makes 1 loaf.

This recipe does not have a banana aftertaste and is so easy to make, you can add nuts to it if desired also.
