My Doctor suggested putting my son in Soccer. It works wonders. Like you, my son 9, has been in and out of the emergency room many times this summer, once because he burned his hand while playing with matches and set our garage on fire. Soccer really helps him because it is an indivdual sport and a team sport. He also runs himself silly.

: Well, I know that I am surviving summer by praying at least 100 times a day that God continue to grant me patience..
: I have been told repeatly this summer that i have the patience of a saint, of this i am not sure, but i am working on it
: Art is havig a good summer however it is an active one, he has been injured in some way or another at least 15tims in the last 4 weeks, he looks like and accident victim his legs are so scratched up and now he has started on his fingers and his hands, he has deciced in the absence of having a dad living in the house he is the MAN here and as such should ahve all the adult privelages he wants to have... I SAID NO WAY..
: He is having a great time but is sleeping little more than 4-5hours a night, and wants to either be on his bike, in the restraunt parking lot, or parked in front of the T.V. thank goodness he is watching Animal Planet and Toon Disney.. mostly good programing.. He has been a great help to me with my daycare kids.. but he needs to go back to school soon, he has way to much time on his hands and nothing to fill it up with, since all suggested things are done in a matter of minutes....
: more suggestions of free to do things woudl be welcome he is 11 years old
