This is what I would like to share with you. I went to an ODD workshop last Monday and the man doing it read this poem. I then read it in Chicken Soup for the Mother's Soul book. I understand exactly what it is talking about and only a mom or dad that has a special child can understand. I want this board to be a place that we can come and share ideas about our children. But I also want it to be a place where we can show our joys and accomplishments with our children. These children no matter how small or large their problems can be are a challenge! We need each others support and advice sometimes to make it through the day. I know I have had to lean on a friend lots of times.
I hope we can have good question and answer sesssions. If we don't know the answer I hope we know maybe a professional that does. We will try our best.
