Icing for Cookies

2 cups sifted powdered sugar
2-3 tablespoons real butter, softened (not melted)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla or lemon or orange juice
just enough milk to make a smooth spreading consistency

Sift powdered sugar into bowl. With wooden spoon blend in butter and juice as good as you can. Drizzle in milk, gradually, and beat until you get the correct spreading consistency.

****Add milk to make it runner and spoon over cookies. If you donot want to decorate by hand.
