GERMAN CHOCOLATE BROWNIES
(Makes 16 Large Brownies)

1 pkg. Duncan Hines brownie
mix (regular size)
1 c. (6 oz.) milk chocolate
chips or 6 oz. milk
chocolate
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. flaked coconut
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 egg
1/4 c. water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt chocolate over boiling water
(either in double boiler or Pyrex cup) or over low heat in
saucepan. Stir in evaporated milk, flaked coconut and pecans.
Mix well.
Prepare brownie mix according to chewy fudge package
directions in medium-sized bowl. Spread half the brownie
batter into greased 8-inch square pan. Top with the melted
chocolate mixture and spread remaining brownie batter evenly
over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool and cut
into squares.

TURTLE BROWNIES

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 pkg. brownie mix
1 pkg. caramels
1 c. walnuts

Grease and flour a 9 x 12-inch baking pan. Mix 1
brownie mix according to package. Pour in pan. Melt caramels
and spread over brownie mix. Pour 2nd package over caramels
with walnuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes.
