PUMPKIN BREAD
3 cups sugar 2 tsp. soda
1 cup oil 2 tsp. salt
4 beaten eggs 1 tsp. each allspice,
2 cups pumpkin cinnamon, nutmeg
3½ cups flour ½ tsp. cloves
1 tsp. baking powder 2/3 cup water
1 cup chopped nuts
Combine sugar, oil,and eggs; add pumpkin. Sift dry ingredients together; add pumpkin mixture, then water. Add nuts. Fill well greased bread pans a little over ½ full.
Bake @ 350º for 1 hour ( or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean). Cool in pans on rack 5-8 minutes; turn out on rack until cool.
