Thank you so much for this recipe. My husband has a 'hoagie phase' and just loves it with roast beef. I do love to cook and to make everything from scratch (I even bake the rolls for the hoagies myself), so I was wondering how to do this. Now I know, thanks to you. I really appreciate it.
Thanks again,
Hedi

: HI there fellow roast beef lovers, I worked in a Deli and every day people would call and order Deli Roast Beef for the following day.. This was 5.99 per pound uncut,,,,, WOW,,,, So Here is the easy recipe

: You will need the following ingredients

: A roast (beef, venison,or bison) that fills your crock pot with room for at least 2 of your adult fingers all the way around the edges( please note the weight of this uncooked)

: 1 stick of butter(margarine does not give the same affect)

: 1 cup red wine or fruit wine

: 1 3 ounce jar of dried onions preferrably chopped ,however minced will work

: lea perrins worchestershire sauce (1 teaspoon for every pound of roast)

: garlic powder (not garlic salt) (1/2 teaspoon for every pound of roast)

: 1 teaspoon pepper

: 4 beef bullion cubes

: boiling water to fill crock pot to lip

: cooking spray(for easy cleanup)

: Directions for cooking

: spray interior of crock pot with cooking spray

: place roast in center of crock pot

: turn crock pot on high

: add all ingredients but water

: now fill to top with boiling water

: cook until a food thermometer placed in the center reads 185-200 degrees

: this roast will last in the fridge for 7 days
