HOT FUDGE
(Copycat's Just Like Dairy Queen's)

1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1 c. water (can use milk)
1/4 c. cocoa
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. butter

Mix dry ingredients together, then water or milk. Boil
until thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add
vanilla and butter. Serves 6. Can be made in microwave.

HARD CHOCOLATE SAUCE-DAIRY QUEEN STYLE
1 pkg. (6 oz.) chocolate
chips
1/2 stick butter or margarine
1/4 c. Mazola oil

In a double boiler melt chips and butter together.When melted add oil.
Pour over ice cream and it will harden.

HOT FUDGE TOPPING

1/4 c. cocoa
3/4 c. sugar
2/3 c. milk
1/3 c. light corn syrup
1/3 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients; cook over medium heat until mixture
forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water. Refrigerate.
May be reheated for later use. Pour over devil's food cake
with vanilla ice cream for delicious hot fudge cake.

2 MINUTE FUDGE AND/OR HOT FUDGE SAUCE
(Microwave)

1 lb. powdered sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
1/3 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. vanilla or almond
extract
1/3 margarine or butter

Mix all ingredients except butter in microwave-safe
bowl. It will be fairly dry. Lay the butter on top of dry
ingredients and microwave on High for 2 minutes. Stir until
mixture is smooth and creamy. If using for hot fudge, pour
immediately over ice cream. For fudge, put on wax paper-lined
dish or pan. Place in refrigerator to harden. Hardened fudge
may be put in a bowl and reheated on medium heat in microwave.
Stir a few times and add a little milk to return it to a hot
fudge sauce. This also makes a great icing for brownies!

HEAVENLY HOT FUDGE SAUCE

1/2 c. butter or margarine
4 sq. unsweetened chocolate
3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 2/3 c. evaporated milk (tall
can)
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter and chocolate in top of double boiler. Stir
in sugar gradually mixture will be very thick and dry. Add
salt and stir in milk gradually. Cook about 8 minutes. Remove
from heat and add vanilla. Serve hot or cold. Makes 1 quart of
salt.

BRIGHAM'S HOT FUDGE SAUCE

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1/4 c. butter
1 1/2 sq. unsweetened
chocolate
1/4 c. dry cocoa
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. cream
1 tsp. vanilla
dash of salt

Melt butter and chocolate over low heat. Mix sugar,
cocoa and salt and add to chocolate mixture. Mix until smooth;
add cream slowly and bring to boil, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat immediately and add vanilla.
