MILLIONAIRES CANDY

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 large pkg. Kraft caramels
2 Tbsp. milk
1 c. pecans
1 large pkg. Silver Tip
chocolates
1/3 sq. paraffin

Mix in double boiler the caramels and milk until melted
and smooth. Add nuts. Drop by teaspoon onto buttered wax
paper. Melt in double boiler the chocolates and paraffin. Dip
caramels into chocolate mixture and put again on wax paper
until dry. Makes about 2 1/2 pounds.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CANDY TURTLES

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 can Eagle Brand milk
4 or 5 c. whole pecans
1 large bag caramel candies
1 bar paraffin wax
1 large bag semi-sweet
chocolates

Melt candy caramels and Eagle Brand milk in double
boiler; stir in pecans, drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet and
freeze for 1 hour. Then melt semi-sweet chocolates and paraf-
fin wax in double boiler; dip the frozen clusters into choco-
late mixture. Put back onto cookie sheet and cool.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DIPPED CHOCOLATES

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
pinch of salt
1 stick oleo

Put sugar, milk and salt into a large, heavy pan. Boil,
without stirring, until it forms a soft ball, about 20 minutes.
Grease a large platter with 1 stick oleo and leave the stick on
the platter. Pour soft ball mixture very slowly on the plat-
ter. Leave it until almost cool. Stick fingers into cool
candy to see if there are any sugar crystals on the bottom. If
not, begin to beat. If the crystals are there, scrape off the
top, leaving only the sugar. Beat with a knife until it turns
white. It will, or you will. When the muscle in your arm is
completely gone, roll in balls. You may have to refrigerate or
even freeze the stuff.
With an ice pick, dip each ball into a mixture of
chocolate and paraffin which has been melted in a double
boiler. Set on waxed paper and refrigerate again.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NEEDHAMS

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 pkg. coconut
1 pkg. frosting sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt
3/4 c. cold mashed potatoes
2 bars German sweet chocolate
1 sq. unsweetened chocolate
1/4 bar paraffin wax

Mix coconut, sugar, vanilla, salt and mashed potatoes
and put in pan. Cut in squares. Melt both chocolates and wax
over hot water and dip squares in it.
