AN GINRETTES (ITALIAN COOKIES)


4 eggs, room temperature4 c. flour3/4 c. Wesson oil (for best results)1/4 c. milk, room temperature3/4 c. sugar4 heaping tsp. baking powderPinch of salt3 tsp. lemon flavoring
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Makes approximately 5 dozen.

1. Sift flour, salt, baking powder and sugar into a bowl.

2. In another bowl beat eggs slightly, then add milk, oil, flavoring. Mix slightly.

3. Make a "well" with the flour mixture and add liquid ingredients. Mix with a spoon.

4. Then turn on pastry board and knead until smooth.

5. Roll out small pieces of dough, roll onto finger and place on UNGREASED cookie sheet.

6. Cook about 10 minutes until set - not brown.

FROSTING:

Confectioners' sugarWaterLemon flavoring
Mix confectioners' sugar, water and flavoring until you get a thick consistency. Frost cookies.

DOODLES


1 1/2 c. cut up dates1 c. sugar1/4 c. butter2 eggs, beatenSalt and vanilla
Mix first four ingredients and cook until dates are mushy. Take from heat and add vanilla. Add 4 cups of rice krispies. Stir well. Roll in balls. Roll in nuts and coconut.
