OLD FASHIONED GULLETS

3 c. brown sugar
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 lb. oleo
6 eggs
2 Tbsp. cinnamon
1 Tbsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. whiskey (may exempt)
5 1/2 c. flour
2 Tbsp. shortening
Melt butter and oleo. Add brown sugar and beat. Add
shortening, eggs, cinnamon, vanilla and whiskey. Mix well.
Add flour slowly. Mix well. Drop by spoonful onto a hot
gullet iron. Cook to desired browness. May use an electric
iron or a standard gullet iron. Makes 6 dozen.
