BLACKBERRY CAKE
1 box white cake mix4 eggs3/4 c. oil1 (3 oz.) box blackberry jello1 c. mashed blackberries
Mix all ingredients and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.
GLAZE:
1 c. confectioners sugar1 stick butter (melted)1/2 c. blackberries

BLACKBERRY CAKE
1 c. butter or butter1 c. white sugar1 c. brown sugar3 eggs1 c. buttermilk or sour milk3 c. flour2 tsp. soda in a little hot water1 tsp. cinnamon1 tsp. allspice1 tsp. cloves1 1/2 c. berries and juice
Cream butter and sugars, add eggs and beat; alternate sour milk with the dry ingredients which have been sifted together; then add soda and at last fold in the berries. Bake at 350 degrees about 30 minutes in two 9-inch round pans or a 9x13 inch pan.
It is delicious iced with brown sugar (caramel) icing. This was my grandmother's recipe and a favorite at family reunions.
