The simple way is to
buy a can of comstock pie filling, pour in a pan, add 1/2 cup sugar,
1 teaspoon almond extract,
1 teaspoon butter, heat till sugar disolved.
Pour into a plain pie crust, add the top crust and seal the edges and make steam holes.
Bake 40 to 50 minutes.
Let set 30 minutes and serve.
