bad news... the cake you are talking about is actually a baseball cap, not a sports ball. i bought the large mixing bowl, but i don't know what i did with the recipes from it. i believe that you just bake one box of cake mix for about forty five minutes. a way to use it as a sports ball, though, is to make the cake in the measuring bowl, then make a sheet cake. let bothe cool, then decorate the sheet cake as the playing field in whick the ball would be used (ie, basketball court, soccer field, baseball diamond). trim the "ball cake" to give it more of a round shape, place it on the middle of the "playing field" and decorate to look like the appropriate ball.
