: Need to find some cake recipes hopefully with picture to make for the scouts cake bake..

Football Cake

1 package Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe Devils Food Cake mix
FROSTING
3/4 cup confectioners sugar
2 tabs shortening
1 tab cold water
1 tab non-dairy powdered creamer
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
dash salt
1 container (16 ounces) Duncan Hines Chocolate Layer Cake Frosting

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour 10-inch round cake pan.
Prepare cake following package directions for original recipe. Bake at 350 degree F. for 45 to 55 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 15 min in pan. Invert onto cooling rack. Cool completely. Freeze cake for ease in handling.

For Frosting:
combine confectioners sugar, shortening, water, non-dairy powdered creamer, vanilla extract and salt in small bowl. Beat at medium speed with electric mixer for 2 minutes. Beat at high speed for 3 minutes. Add more confectioners sugar to thicken or water to thin frosting as needed.

Cut frozen cake and remove 2-inch slice from center; place two sides together to form football. Spread chocolate frosting on sides and top of cake. Place basketweave tip in pastry bag. Fill with decorator frosting. Make white frosting laces on football.

Note: Decorate serving plate with green tinted coconut, if desired.

Tip: If a 10-inch round pan is not available, make 2 small football cakes by following package directions with two 9-inch round cake pans.
