Amish Friendship Bread

1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk

Use a food-safe ceramic crock, glass jar or Ziploc bag. Do NOT mix with metal utensils. Let sit on counter and best to cover with a cloth if using crock or jar.

Combine flour, sugar and milk and stir. If using a Ziploc, mash bag to mix.

Day 1: Do nothing.
Day 2, 3, 4: Stir with a wooden spoon.
Day 5: Add 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup milk. Stir.
Day 6, 7, 8, 9: Stir with a wooden spoon.
Day 10: Add 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup milk. Then pour 1 cup of mixture into 3 containers. Give 2 to friends with recipe. Keep one for yourself.

To your batch, add:
1 cup oil
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
3 eggs
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 large box instant vanilla pudding
1 cup chopped nuts (opt.)

Can add 1/2 cup of any of the following:
raisins chopped apple candied fruit
drained, crushed pineapple coconut
mashed bananas chopped dates chocolate chips

Add those now, if you choose to do so.

Pour into 2 well greased and sugared loaf pans.
Bake at 350 for 40-50 minutes. Cool 10 minutes.
Remove from pans. Freezes well.
