Yellow Gables French Toast-Grand Marnier

8 slices French bread (slice 3/4-inch to 1-inch thick)
4 to 5 eggs
1 cup half & half
2 tablespoons Grand Marnier
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons grated orange

Place bread in a greased 12x8-inch pan.
Beat eggs with remaining ingredients and pour over bread. Dot with butter.
Refrigerate overnight.
Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
Spread top with orange marmalade.
Bake 10-15 more minutes.
Serve with a dollop of whipped cream.

Grand Marnier French Toast

4 cups heavy cream
4 eggs
4 Tbsps Grand Marnier
4 Tbsps sugar
2 Tbsps orange zest
French bread
Put 12-16 pieces of French bread in a baking dish. Mix ingredients together and pour over bread. Put in refrigerator overnight. Turn slices after two hours. Next day, pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Butter cookie sheet and transfer bread. Bake 30-40 minutes, turning halfway through. Return to casserole or serving plate and sprinkle with confectioner's sugar. Serve with maple syrup and orange butter.

Orange Butter:
6 oz. butter
Juice of one orange
1 Tbsps Grand Marnier
1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
Orange zest from one orange

Soften butter. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Form a ball and refrigerate.
