I got this off of a frugal board that I read. Instead of mixing all of the dry ingredients, they had a recipe using a cake mix...here it is.

Double-Chocolate Cookies

In jar place...

1 devils food cake mix
1/2 c. walnuts...or any other nuts will work
1/2-1 c. chocolate chips...amount depends on the size of your jar.

This is what you attach to the jar to make the cookies:

Empty cookie mix in large mixing bowl; stir to combine. Add 1/4 cup margarine, melted, 1/3 cup water and 1 egg; mix until completely blended. Drop by teaspoons 2 inches apart onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Cookies will be a little soft in center. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet. Remove to wire racks to cool completely (approx. 20 min).

I have made these cookies and they are good. I used a devil's food cake mix, and also a yellow mix.

Enjoy! :o)
