The easiest and best tasting fry bread recipe is self rising flour and buttermilk. That's all. You add enough buttermilk to make a dough that you can roll and pat out in to hamburger patty size and then deep fry until golden brown. To make this in to an Indian Taco, you make the frybread and then you cook 1/2 pound of hamburger meat and add 3 cans of pinto beans. add about 1 tbl of chili powder. spoon that over your frybread and top with shredded lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. Tastes wonderfull. If any of you have ever gone to a Pow-Wow and had this there, this is the same recipe. My family loves it, even my toddlers.
