: Does anyone have any recipes for fun crafts for kids for Christmas time to do?Would really like some neat ideas....Thank-You...Katrina
On the craft page www.thefunplace.com/fence/craftboard/ on 11/27/00 there is a Hersey Kiss Christmas tree project that is easy. Also with Hersey kisses you can make mice. Take 2 kisses and take out one of the papers and rewrap foil, cut out ears from "fun foam" and glue ears and a ribbon between the bottoms of the 2 wrapped kisses. You can also use unwrapped kisses but will need to add a tail.
Another craft is to use notched craft sticks and make an x then make another x and put together in a snowflake pattern. Paint white and glue on a shiny pompom in the middle. Use embrodery floss to make a hanger or add magnets to the back.
You can also make ornaments or magnets using peppermints. Line a cookie sheet with foil, place a metal cookie cutter on top and fill with peppermints. Place in 300 degree oven until peppermints are melted. Allow to cool and pop out of cookie cutter. Add magnet or hot glue ribbon on back to form hanger.
Hope that this helps - I have done all of these with girl scout troops. I'm always watching for new ideas. Terri
