Wow, I never thought so many people would be interested in ducks. I have not been to this site in a long time and was very surprised to see all of the interest in ducks.

They are very intelligent and can be trained. Lucky likes to go on cement. For example, if he is outside, he will find a cement spot to go. So if you have a big piece of tile or something similar you can use that to train them. Lucky started in our bathtub so he got used to tile. When we take him outside, he will not go on the grass, he looks for cement. I am not saying this is the only method for training ducks, but it worked for us. Good luck with your ducks, they are lots of fun. My dad comes over and talks to Lucky and Lucky seems to respond to him. They are loyal too. Lucky hides from strangers, but not from his family.
