We have two kittens we adopted from the animal shelter (at the same time,they are not siblings,are roughly the same age,one male,one female and both desexed)
They are now approx 12 months old.We have had no toileting problems with them until recently when the male has started pooping on the carpet in one corner of my dining room! Definately a PROBLEM!!
Both cats have access to their litter box 24hrs per day although they both spend most daylight hours out of doors. I am at a loss as to the reason he is doing this - the litter tray is kept clean.The only possible thing I can think of is that we have changed brand of our kitty litter??
Any help would be appreciated.TIA
Also I know cats will return to the same place because of their sensitive noses - any clues as to what I can use to get rid of the odour?? I have tried both vinegar and bleach to no avail. I also tried putting down orange peel as I was told cats do not like citrus, however this has not deterred him.
