Sailor's Blanket is a Volunteer-based, non-profit effort to provide warm, soft blankets to dogs waiting to be adopted through 8 different groups. The blankets are given to the dogs when they arrive at the Foster Home and go with them once they have found their Forever Home. For many, whose lives thus far have been spent in wire cages at puppy mills, this is the first bit of comfort they have ever known. I recently learned that the Internet Miniature Pinscher Service Volunteers in Florida will soon need homes for about 80 Min Pins, 40 of these due to arrive in the next couple of weeks. I am hard at work trying to make blankets and snuggle sacks, but cannot possibly get one for each of them in such a short period of time. The blankets can be new or gently used, homemade or purchased. They should be about 3 feet square and can be sent directly to IMPS at this address :

Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read my post and consider my request for help. Sailor's Blanket has provided over 400 blankets to homeless dogs in the first year and after hearing from the many Foster Homes who receive these blankets, I KNOW they make a difference.
