I just got two eight week old kittens yesterday from a woman who posted an ad in the local classifieds. They seemed a little timid and nervous at first but things went well for the duration of the evening, I thought. Next thing I know, the female is crying her head off and then the male proceeds to join in. I made sure they had everything they needed (etc.) and was up more than half the night trying to make them happy. But every time it seemed as if they were about to fall asleep again or something, they would only begin to cry. I have tried everything to make them content. They have spent the entire day under my bed and every time I try to get close to them, they run away...almost as if they were afraid of me or something. I want them to become familiar with the house and with me, but I don't want to force anything. I am quite distraught over the whole matter. Somebody, PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
