I have read a lot about Asperger's Syndrome and, although I never got a formal diagnosis, I display a lot of the symptoms. My interest in my favorite subjects is way over the top. I am also interested in unusual things. I love to read about the history of Greece and the Ukraine. I watch sports and know all the facts about my favorite athletes, although I'm not remotely athletic myself. Even the names of athleres, the more foreign and exotic the better, appeal to me. I can't understand it.

I am a fanatic cat lover. I have read extensively about all of the different cat breeds? Any other cat fanatics out there?

I grew up with overdevolped academic and underdeveloped social capabilities. Growing up, reading and getting good grades provided me with my only vehicle for self-confidence.

I have improved socially over the years, even though I am no ball of fire by any means. I prefer to do my work over socializing at my job.

I feel I have come a long way from my childhood, but I definitely exhibit indicators of Asperger's. A diagnosis might just make me understand why I'm so "different" and help me accept it.
