I'd take her elsewhere. Either another dr, or to a walk-in clinic somewhere. That is TOO long to go, with no, I think. Also, I would question the dr's advice to you... Let me see... your daughter is only 3yo, and was prescribed this? Then, insists that you force it down her throat? And you can't give her anything else? Does this Dr have children of her own???

I've never had a yeast infection, thankfully, and, neither have my daughters, but I am a mom, and I've been one long enough to know that if my child doesn't want to take medication, they AREN'T about to take the medication. No matter what I do.

I wish I could give you some more advice, but I am HIGHLY questioning the whole scenario with your dr. Go elsewhere, explain the whole thing, even that she was prescribed medication that she won't take, and see if there is something else that you can do for her.

Oh, btw, Diflucan has a website, you could go there, and see if there is any information there, that might help you.
