Not only was it appropriate for kids of that age, heck I enjoyed it quite a bit. I took my kids along with a few of their cousins. Usually when I carry 5 kids to the movies, I'm glutton for punishment but not that day. They sat back and enjoyed the show. The forgot all about the popcorn.
