my 13yr old son has been diagnosed with aspergers,we have been to see a doctor once, due to go again soon but to be honest still not 100% clear on it. Do children have eating disorders as he doesn't like most foods, will eat junk food, has no friends, 2 children he sometimes plays with are 4 yrs younger, he is very immature could that be the reason?. i've just discovered he hides food when we leave the room, we thought he had eaten it, can't communicate properly, takes 5 mins to tell a 30 sec story. he has a bad attitude alot of the time and is very hard to live with. Can anyone give me advice on how to cope, what do you do when your son/daughter talks to you like you are the worst thing in the world.
