--- Pomegranets are in stores now. I would like to know how to dry them whole, preserve them so they retain their color. I have a Vita Mix food dehydrator. Have access to orris root. --- Have been making pomandar balls with great success. After they dry the color has turned to brown leather color or color of orange skin is bearly orange. I have found air drying rather than oven drying preserves orange color better, but still not ORANGE like the photos you see in craft magazines. I'll live with the non-orange color if there is no way to prevent it. Any suggestions from anyone appreciated.
