I saw this tip on tv but I don't remembr what show it was on. Make a copy of a black and white photo.Heat the ironing board pad with a hot iron. place the photo on the pad and put mending fabric over it, shiny side down. Put a piece of paper on the end for a tab. Make sure the picture isn't over this. Lightly iron for a few seconds and separate. This transfers the photo to the mending fabric. You can use color markers to fill in bows or flowers if you want. Place mending fabric picture side down on your project fabric and iron for ten seconds with a hot iron.Let cool and separate. I haven't tried this yet, but it is supposed to be washable. I would make a practice one first.
