: : I had received a starter of the Friendship Bread Mix (1 C. mixed fruits). Am wanting to make some more of this, but don't know of anyone passing around the starters. Does anyone have a recipe to start this?

: I begin my starter with: 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup milk. The day you make your starter is considered Day 1. Continue the recipe for Days 2-10. If you don't have one let me know, I can e-mail you one. I've seen a few different recipes for this bread.

i have started one the way you descibed, one cup flour, sugar and milk. continue this for the 10 days and it will be the starter??? i am so confused, i recieved a starter a long time ago and now my family is craving more bread, did i start is right? is there something more to add to the starter than just milk, sugar and flour??thanks, dodij
