One year I cut soda cans into stars for our tree outside. Just cut the top off. Cut down the sides about five or six times. Bend the sides out and cut them into points.

: Hi Laura Lee! How about something that is classically Christmas AND simple at the same time?
: And I'll bet NO ONE will think of BOWS for the tree!

: Go to a craft store and look for "twisted paper"- this is paper that is sold by the yard, usually on a big spool and you untwist it to get a flat, yet crinkled piece of paper. NOW- YOU don't want this product in PAPER ( not weather proof!) BUT they also make this in a plasic type of 'paper' that IS weatherproof. You will have to untwist this and then once flat you could tie these in bows to what ever size you like, with the streamers as long as you like. This plastic-y stuff is very shiny and sort of has a metalic look to it. It will add a traditional yet snazzy look to the tree! I have seen this stuff in red, green, gold and silver. It will be simple to tie a bow out of, that any one could do!

: If you want you could take a permanent marker and write the name of your group on the streamers!

: If you can't find this twisty stuff you could also use the flat red plastic 'ribbon' that is everywhere at Christmas time, but the other stuff has a shimmer to it, so it a bit nicer. I don't think it is terrible expensive, but the red plastic stuff is probably your best option if cost is a factor.

: Good luck and happy holidays!
