: : Some years ago, Ann Landers (or Abigail Van Buran) gave a receipe in their column for home-made potpourri. I have misplaced the receipe! i recall most of the incrediants, but I think I'm missing one or two ingrediants. Does anyone have this famous receipe?

: : Here the partial receipe:
: : fresh Rosemary chopped
: : fresh Spearmint chopped
: : whole cloves
: : whole allspice
: : cinnamon sticks broken
: : 2 more ingrediants I can't remember
: : Combine all ingrediants in a bowl, mix well. Heat
: : enough white viniger to cover mixed ingrediants.
: : Pour warm viniger over ingrediants and mix well.
: : Store in a glass container for at least three-four
: : weeks. To use, put several heaping spoonfuls in a
: : potpourri pot, cover with water and simmer. It's a
: : wonderful spicy, wintery fragrance. Great for the
: : holidays. I use a one gallon glass jar with lid.

: : Does anyone know the missing two ingrediants???? Any help appreciated. Linda

: I don't know what the 2 missing ingredients are , but i followed your instructions regardless and it turned out great thanks for sharing

Leanna,
I'm glad you like it! I've made it too without the last two ingrediants, and it's still a good receipe. But, I wonder if those two ingrediants are something that is vital to the receipe. I've also added orange peels to the receipe and that's good too.
