I found a "recipe" for drying in the microwave....this is just for the small gourds. Drill 1/2" holes in both ends of the gourds. Place them in the micowave on paper towel and microwave for 15 minutes on 1/3 power (defrost cycle) When I did it I wanted a little bowl, so I drilled several small holes in the bottom about 1/8 " (avoiding one large one on the bottom). Did the 1/2 " on the top though. Then I drilled holes all around the top (1/4" apart) where I wanted wanted to cut it. This made it easier to cut from with a small saw from one hole to another as they do get quite hard for sawing later. I though it worked pretty good. Have fun!
