: I am looking for some party favors for 1st graders that are made using candy. I would like some for Halloween, Christmas and for Valentines Day. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

Hi Nicki,

Saw a few new ideas.
Got the new issue of Family Fun this weekend, they have a cute scarecrow and pumpkin.

For the scarecrow body used a mini box of raisins, (any type candy in a box would work)they glued on a pack of spree candy for each leg, a flavored tootsie roll for each arm and a piece of salt water taffy for the head. They tied a raffia bow under the chin and glue a piece of raffia to make it into a necklace.

For the pumpkin, they put candy corn in a baggie, wrapped it in a double layer of orage tissue paper and tied it with a green pipe cleaner. They curled the ends of the pipe cleaners. Both were cute. It's not candy but someone posted scarecrow soup and witch's brew. I'll look for them if they would help.

How about candy bar wrappers?

Sue
