I have been sewing for years and years, but not always with the Singer.
I, too, started having troubles like you described.
I wrote to the singer company and they replied that
I, most likely wasn't threading it right! Ha! Me, the person with years of sewing
experience, not threading it right! How could that be??
Well, I finally did "thread it right" and have
had very few problems since! "Threading it right"
means holding your thread, from the spool, REALLY
tight and not letting loose of it until the needle is threaded.
You will wonder if you are holding it so tight
it might break the thread, but it doesn't break.
So, just go through your regular threading proceedure
but hold that thread real tight! Good Luck!
: Help! I need options! I have taken my Singer in to a number of repair centers and it always comes back "fixed" then before a week is out, I'm having trouble again. Here is the problem: It sews fine for about 20 minutes, then begins looping the bottom threads. I check tension, thread size and type, needles, settings, make sure all is cleaned and properly installed(bobbins, etc.) then try again, and it STILL does it. I get disgusted, stay away for a few days, come back and it's working fine, that is, for about 20 minutes, then here we go again. Any ideas?
