Hi, Kathy - hope you are doing well today! I saw your question and felt I should drop you a note. The only advice that I could give to you and I'm sure someone has said this to you already - just be patient. Your son is just about to turn 6 months in 3 wks (which really means he just turned 5 months. Kids, whether it is a boy or girl, they are individuals and no two are alike. They are going learn things at their own pace. It is really nice that your daughter progressed so quickly but I really don't think you should expect the same thing from your son - you never know your son may progress faster in some other things. That's a lesson I had to learn as well. Let me tell you , I have many nieces (4) and nephews (3) and 2 children of my own (son turning 8 September 18 and daughter 2 1/2 turning 3 in December). My sister's two kids (boy and girl) both were potty trained by 15 months she has another daughter just turned 2 in June and she isn't even entertaining the idea. You know what I mean. Kids are going to pick up at their own pace. Try not to worry too much about it - who knows he may just have it down in another couple of months - just try not to compare the two (you already know that, smile). It will be ok...

For curiousity sake, write back when he does catch on to holding his bottle on his own because I know it can really save you some time to do other things (smile).
