Don't let baby miss out on the creative fun! After mealtime is over, plop a spoonfull of babyfood on the highchair tray and let them fingerpaint. It's a great way to let them explore the food, as well as a safe way to play, if they eat any, yeah!
If you want to save their artwork, take a sheet of paper and lay it over the picture, press down gently and pell off, allow to air dry and display. This won't last very long, and is likely to mold if the conditions are right, but for showing grandma and daddy its perfect!
When art time is over, plop baby directly into the tub for cleanup! Wipe tray as soon as possible, before the baby food turns to concrete

Our former daycare provider used to give the kids chocolate pudding on their trays to finger paint with... yogurt works too.
