Bocconne Dolce Dessert

Meringue:

6 egg whites,room temperature
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1 c sugar

Filling:

1 c semi sweet chocolate chips
3 TBSP water

3 cups whipping cream
5 TBSP sugar
2 tsp vanilla

3 cups fresh strawberries
save a few for garnish

Instructions:

Meringue
Beat eggs whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
Beat in sugar gradually, beating until stiff and glossy.
Outline 3 circles from an 8 inch round cake pan on tinfoil and place tinfoil on cookie sheets.
Divide and spread meringue evenly being careful to spread them to the edge of each circle.

Bake 250 F, for 45 mins or until lightly brown, firm and dry.
Cool slightly, then carefully peel off and let cool on wire rack.

Filling
In heavy saucepan, melt chips with water over low heat. Spread over 2 meringue shells.

Whip cream, sugar and vanilla until stiff.
Spread over all 3 meringue layers.
PLace one layer with chocolate on serving dish.
Spoon half the strawberries over top.
Place second layer with chocolate over first layer on dish.
Cover with remaining half of strawberries.
Add third layer.
Garnish with whole berries.
Chill 3 hrs before serving
Serves 8

This is out of this world! Trust me it will become a favorite and its so easy.
