The Behavior Chart below was submitted by fl-nut. She tells us that using this chart takes the pressure off her as the disciplinarian and puts the responsibility for behavior on her two pre-teens. This chart will work well for elementary to teen-age children. You can make your own with categories that apply directly to your child.

To use the chart, start a new page each day. Points are earned for doing chores and assignments, points are lost for attitude and tasks not completed. This chart helps children see what their responsibilities are and helps them learn to budget their time. It also spells out expected behavior and consequences of improper behavior. In addition to daily rewards, points may be carried foward toward a large future goal, giving children a long-range budgeting experience.
