If she is trying to manipulate you to get spanked and get out of being grounded, maybe you should spank her but make it worse then a grounding. All you have to do is make it hurt a bit more then you would a younger child, or embaress her somehow. Maybe she could stand in the corner afterwards as part of the punishment..
Just a thought on using her own plan against her.
