Hi, im a teenager, and i wasnt allowed to have my ears pierced untill I was at least 13 when I had the responsability to look after them myself. But I now have 9 pircings in total and am having the 10th done on the weekend. All that Im asking is that you do let your children approach you on the subject. I couldnt with mine so ended up having 1done with out telling them. Its stil a hard subject as Im an only child and my parents or relatives dont have any. Becasue I seem to spend alot of my time in the piercing shop Id advise you to go to a proper shop, not the mall as I think that its strange to want to crowd around a person and watch them have pain inflicted. Also be carefull about the gun that they use, its not totally steralised, even thow the earings might be the gun still touches the ear. becasue of the force of a solid object going throught the lobe or any wear else it created a volcano effect where the ear has a lump on it, then it sweels and presses against the back, leaving a big lump. A bit more expenise to do it with a needle but alot more comfy. Theres nothing the matter with cartalige piercing, it hurts moe in the lobes becsue its thicker!
